ammrf-innerspace-169Ever wondered what an immune cell engulfing bacteria or the grease factories inside your hair follicle would look like up-close?

Scitech is pleased to present this amazing picture gallery which looks down the microscope to reveal incredible stories about the world on a micro, nano and atomic level.

Cropped1The beautiful images have all been taken by scientists who are trying to understand the properties of materials, in areas as diverse as medicine, engineering and archaeology. Microscopy helps us understand the world around us and design new technologies.

Incredible Inner Space is on display at Scitech until late May. To see the gallery in full please click here.

The exhibition was created by The Australian Microscopy & Microanalysis Research Facility (AMMRF), a national collaboration of scientists and microscope facilities, including The Centre for Microscopy, Characterisation and Analysis and the University of Western Australia.
