Fasten your seatbelts - Going Places - The Technology of Transport has arrived at Scitech this summer.

This unique exhibition explores the way mankind has developed new transport technology to overcome gravity, distance and the division of continents to move us around the globe.

Meet The Rubot. Made from Lego NXT, this highly intelligent robot can scan and solve a Rubik’s cube!

How does it work?

Place the scrambled Rubik’s cube on The Rubot’s turntable. An ultrasonic sensor detects its presence and scans the colours using a light sensor. The robot then calculates a solution and manipulates the cube accordingly.
