Earth Sciences

In partnership with ESWA, Scitech has created free Earth science learning and teaching programs for Kindergarten to year 10.

Resources include:

• WA Scope & Sequence linked teacher resources for years 8 and 9
• Electronic information and activity packages including a teacher’s guide, student activities with worksheets and assessment tools. Topics include fossils, soils, the rock cycle, tectonics, rocks and minerals and the Sun as a source of energy.
• Classroom modelling of Earth Science activities
• Provision of professional Learning in Scitech or at your school. You will be provided with relevant resources, trial and enjoy some activities and discuss ways of making this course more enjoyable for both teachers and students.
• Teacher resource loan packs

Scitech’s Earth Science consultant is also available to plan and accompany school groups in field excursions across the state.

Teachers guides are available for the Swan Coastal Plain, Hillside Gold Discovery Centre, the Fremantle area and more.
