March 22 - 24, 2012
Stirling Club, 14 Stirling Tce, Albany
Students and teachers in the great southern region will gain a first-hand insight into the real-life relevance of science when Albany hosts the 12th annual 3 day Scitech Science Awareness Festival between 22nd and 24th March, 2012.
Organised through Scitech's partnership with Rio Tinto, a two-day science showcase will feature interactive displays, hands-on exhibits and short talks to raise awareness about science and technology careers in the region.
Thousands of students from local schools will be given the rare opportunity to meet people working in science-based industries and experience their related skills first-hand. This is followed by a FREE professional learning day for teachers, which is a wonderful opportunity for teachers to access professional learning usually only available to metropolitan teachers.
