Wide angle photograph of the SpacedomeThe Spacedome is an inflatable planetarium operated by Scitech staff. The multimedia shows combine a special stellar projector with computer-generated images and animations of our universe.

Thirty-minute multimedia presentations use the latest technology to show computer generated images and animations of our universe in an inflatable planetarium. The Spacedome can be set up in any large indoor space (8m diameter, 4m high).

Day and Night (Year PP-3)

What are the features of the day and night sky? What really happens when the sun goes down? Students investigate day and night from Earth and from space before returning to Earth to explore the current night sky in their area. In both junior (K-Year 1) and intermediate (Year 2 -3) activities, students learn more about constellations and create their own.

Our Solar System (Year 4-7)

Rocky Terrestrial, Gas Giants and Dwarf. Explore the planets of our own Solar System and how they fit into the greater universe. In the activity, students explore their own scale models of the solar system and how far a light year really is.
