Science in SchoolsIf you are a teacher who is passionate about promoting science or maths in your classroom, this is the perfect program for you.

When you register online, you can tell us what type of scientist or mathematician you would like to be matched with. We will work to find you the perfect professional and we will organise and pay for a police clearance for them. Then we'll put you in touch with your scientist (or mathematician) and give you ideas and resources to get you started. Together with your scientist you can decide on the activities you want to undertake and the frequency which suits you both.

As this ongoing and flexible partnership develops and grows, the Scientists in Schools Project Officer will be on hand to provide continuing support via phone and email. You will also receive a certificate to put up in your school. You can join our email list of like-minded teachers to receive news of useful information and events, plus throughout the year you will have the opportunity to attend PD workshops and networking sessions.

To find out more, see examples of successful partnerships and to register, check out our website at www.scientistsinschools.edu.au. You can also contact the WA Project Officer, Kirstin van Dorp, on 9215 0882 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
