Reporting to the Manager, Customer Services, the position of Events Coordinator is responsible for organising and delivering engaging and memorable functions and events that meet Scitechâ€™s mission and maximise business objectives.
This role works collaboratively across all teams to develop and deliver events that engage our visitors with experiences that encourage further participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
â€¢ Plan, organise and deliver visitor oriented events for Scitech visitors including fundraisers, functions and partner events.
â€¢ Liaise with external customers to understand their needs for their events and deliver against those needs in line with Scitech's operational capacity.
â€¢ Maintain and utilise effective systems to promote, book, organise, communicate and deliver corporate functions and fundraisers.
â€¢ Report to, communicate with and update relevant stakeholders on event progress.
â€¢ Work closely with Engagement and Partnerships to deliver quality events that meet the needs of Scitech's corporate partners.
â€¢ Maintain event equipment for all Scitech events.
â€¢ Build on relationships with suppliers to ensure successful delivery of all aspects of a Scitech event
â€¢ Improve systems by identifying opportunities for streamlining processes and maximizing efficiency.
â€¢ Provide exceptional customer service when dealing with Scitech's customers and staff.
â€¢ Ensure effective systems for communicating event information and details to event supervisors.
â€¢ Supervise a small team of Science Squad staff to deliver visitor orientated, high impact and rewarding functions through excellent customer service and passionate science communication.
