About the role
We are currently seeking a Social Media Officer to join our Marketing & Campaigns team on a permanent, full-time basis. As our Social Media Officer, you will be responsible for publishing content on Scitechâ€™s websites and relevant social media platforms.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Â· Working with the Manager, Marketing & Campaigns and Digital Content Producers to ensure a high standard of digital content quality, relevance and presentation for both created and curated content;
Â· Evaluating social media activity and website engagement using a range of analytic tools and making recommendations to improve engagement, reach and impact;
Â· Developing and implementing an integrated social media strategy tailored to each of Scitechâ€™s diverse audience segments; and
Â· Maintaining knowledge of changes and updates to social media platform policies and algorithms and providing actionable recommendations based on best practice.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Â· Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Media or similar would be advantageous;
Â· 2 yearsâ€™ experience in a similar position with a strong social media focus;
Â· Experience in designing compelling paid and owned social media strategies; and
Â· Existing knowledge of social media platform policies and algorithms to ensure industry best practice.
