About the role
We are currently seeking a Fundraising & Development Advisor to join our Engagement & Partnerships team on a permanent, full-time basis. As our Fundraising & Development Advisor, you will be responsible for providing support for philanthropic, community and corporate partner cultivation, engagement and stewardship.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Â· Developing the strategic direction and framework of the Scitech Fundraising Program
Â· Leading Scitechâ€™s philanthropic function, including forecasting, budgeting and developing targeted strategies that influence donor behaviour, invoke financial support, and produce a return on investment for the organisation;
Â· Supporting the Manager, Partnerships & Alliances in managing stewardship of existing partnerships, including all key stakeholders; and
Â· Focusing on maximising the involvement of existing donors to identify opportunities to increase donations.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Â· Relevant qualifications or recognised experience in Business, Communications or equivalent;
Â· 2 - 5 yearsâ€™ experience in philanthropic fundraising, business development or a related industry;
Â· Proven effective written, verbal, negotiation and presentation skills; and
Â· Knowledge and understanding of the WA science communities would be advantageous.
