Unfortunately, due to the current capacity limits set by the WA Government, the Science Centre will not be able to re-open until Tuesday 6 July, pending current restrictions.
From Tuesday 6 July, the Science Centre will run two sessions each day allowing 150 visitors into each session. The morning session will run from 9.30am–12pm and the afternoon session will run from 1.30pm–4pm. This allows us to meet the strict capacity limits and ensure the centre is thoroughly cleaned between the sessions.
The following measures will be in place to safeguard the health of our community:
- Online booking for tickets and member reservations are essential.
- All staff and visitors over the age of 12 will be required to wear masks (exemptions for those with a medical reason).
- All visitors will need to sign in using the SafeWA app.
- The Science Theatre and Planetarium will have spacing measures to allow staff to present without wearing a mask.
Due to the restricted capacity, we are not able to admit walk-in visitors. Please make sure you book online before coming to the Science Centre.
With the health and safety of our staff, local community and partners our number one priority, we will continue to monitor the situation closely taking advice from the WA Government in response to the changing landscape of the pandemic in WA.
