The BHP Billiton Gallery is Scitech's feature exhibition space that changes 3 times a year.
Map Your World | Term 4 2018 and Term 1 2019
Years 7-12
In this feature exhibition students will complete a quest across land and sea to ‘Map your World’. Different mapping skills are used as they play a giant game of battleship, use sonar to scan their friends, pilot a simulated underwater vehicle or escape a virtual building. They will see the world in a new way – as layers of information.
Mathematics provides the framework to map our surroundings, allowing us to locate ourselves and navigate around our world. Maps are a rich source of information, representing data about our location and helping us to understand the world around us.
