National Science Week held 11-19 August, is Australia’s largest celebration of science and technology.

Hundreds of events will be happening across WA and online. With something for everyone and every age, from students to musicians to scientists (and everyone in-between), finding your science has never been easier!

The Perth Science Festival is back, bigger and better than ever!

Experience more than 60 hands-on activities, roving performers, native animals, competitions and one of Scitech's amazing explosive live science shows!

National Science Week Launch Gala 20189 August

Join Scitech and the Hon. Dave Kelly MLA on Thursday 9th August for the official launch of National Science Week 2018, and celebrate the importance of STEM in Western Australia. 

The evening will include international guest speaker, Yamilée Toussaint, the CEO and Founder of STEM from Dance and a presentation of highlights from key events across the state including Minibeasts in my City and SCINEMA.

This will be a night to mingle, discuss, share ideas and get excited about the wonder and joy of science at National Science Week.

Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory11-12 August

The Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory has teamed up with performing artists 'Genrefonix' to create Walbrininy, an original musical production, for an amazing two-day event exclusively for National Science Week. 

Just an hour out of Perth, all ages are welcome to explore and be inspired by the award-winning facility.

SCINEMA - Science Film Festival14 August

The largest science film festival in the southern hemisphere, SCINEMA will be showcasing the best in science cinema from around the world for this year's National Science Week.

Celebrate the moving image to inspire the young, satisfy the curious, explain the baffling and ask the impossible!

The Innovators' Tea Party11 & 18 August

The Innovators' Tea Party are hosting eight speed-networking events for students in Years 11 - 12 to meet with a range of women currently working within the science, technology, engineering and maths field.

Be inspired by the women doing amazing things within the STEM field and come along to one of the free events.
