STEM Club – Term 4, 2021 program

From robotics and coding to hands-on innovation workshops, there’s something for every student in our modular STEM learning program.

You have reached the main content region of the page.

We’re offering a customised  4 or 8-week STEM Club program for Term 4, 2021. It has been designed to grow 21st century skills and inspire children to solve practical challenges through contemporary application of STEM investigation.

Choose any single  or multiple 4-week Tinker & Create modules, or our complete 8-week Robotics and Technology modules to elevate student learning capabilities in your classroom.

Robotics & Technology

Animatronics (8 weeks)
Robots come to life as students build an animatronic sculpture using the Hummingbird robotics kit. Participants will learn about sensors, coding, and technology while they program, engineer and build their designs.

Micro:bits coding (8 weeks)
Explore the fascinating world of robotics and programming by learning to think in algorithms like a computer. Students will use the micro:bit and Hummingbird robotics platforms to learn about sensors, coding, technology and its relevance to their lives as they engineer, build and program robots.

Tinker & Create

Simple Machines (4 weeks)
Turn simple components into moving mechanical contraptions. Learn how to design and engineer a cardboard automaton, a clockwork machine that moves.

Take to the Skies (4 weeks)
See the four forces of flight in action by building things that soar. Students will design and construct rockets, planes and gliders from different materials.

Electrifying Circuits (4 weeks)
Learn about wearable technology and e-Textiles by sewing your own light-up electronic mask with Lilypad components.

Motion & Energy (4 weeks)
Learn how to turn energy into motion by engineering complex machines from everyday materials. Create projectile launchers, helicopters and cars powered by rubber bands.

Prices start at just $12.50 per student per session. For more information please contact us.

Please note, a teacher must be present during all workshops for duty of care.

Before you book, read more about pricing, visit information, terms & conditions and public liability.
