Butterflies in my Backyard

Discover the Butterflies in my Backyard resource and how it can be used to teach biodiversity to our youngest minds with this workshop.

You have reached the main content region of the page.

Butterflies in my Backyard aims to increase awareness of the importance of biodiversity within our ecosystem. It teaches students how they can positively contribute to sustainability in Western Australia through caterpillars and butterflies.

These resources can be used to build an understanding of specific caterpillars and butterflies in the local area, their unique life stages and how to create an ideal environment for them with the native plants they need to survive.

By hatching caterpillars themselves and closely observing the butterfly life stages, students are able to build a deeper connection with these arthropods. Please enquire below.
