Celebrate National Recycling Week at Scitech!
Recycling significantly reduces the amount of materials sent to landfill, helping to create a more sustainable future. We will be celebrating this important week with a simple hands-on activation called ‘Sustainable Suburbs’ in the Rio Tinto Innovation Central space.
The Sustainable Suburbs activity will be available on Saturday 11th November – Sunday 12 November, and Saturday 18th November – Sunday 19th November, and is included in the costs of your admission tickets.
What sort of buildings and amenities would make the suburb you live in more sustainable? Imagine having skate parks, bike tracks, solar-powered buildings, and recycling centres – all within walking distance. Use the recycled cardboard and building templates to create your own structures. You can then add them to the map and help create a communal Sustainable Suburb.
