Primary school students facing financial barriers will have access to a fully funded Scitech excursion thanks to the generous support of Scitech’s community.
Scitech’s End of Financial Year campaign raised more than $10,000 for the School Access Program, which provides select primary schools with support towards bus transportation and free entry to Scitech.
The amount raised will ensure 10 primary schools can experience hands-on exhibits, planetarium shows, live science shows and interactions with Scitech Science Communicators – providing an immersive experience of science not always possible in the classroom.
Scitech Manager, Philanthropy Georgina Harvey said that partners and donors made Scitech’s impact possible.
“As a registered charity, Scitech is working to make sure all Western Australians can engage with science and technology, regardless of background, postcode or ability,” Georgina said.
“Our impact is powered by the support of our community, partners and donors, who enable Scitech to do more and reach more young people.
“Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Financial Year campaign – your generosity will create opportunities for hundreds of children to discover the excitement of science and help inspire the innovators and problem-solvers of tomorrow.”
