Planetarium Shows, the return of our beloved Puppet Shows and your last chance to see Explore your World before it goes away.
Plus, you can jump into exclusive hands-on activities throughout the day, such as making your own straw caterpillar to take home with you, interacting with real life spiny leaf insects and meeting real life scientists as they disclose some top secrets and fun facts.

Puppet Theatre - Bursting with Energy
Due to popular demand, our beloved puppet shows are back!
Meet Gumby the Gum Tree as well as Scruffy, Karda, Dalgyte and other animal friends as they explore just how our flora and fauna sustain themselves – whether it’s from the food they eat or the sun in the sky in this energy show.

Science Theatre - Spring Loaded
Wind up, pop out and bounce back in our newest Science Theatre experience. From toys to tools, through compression and release, Spring Loaded explores how energy is stored and released in the Science Theatre.

Planetarium Show - Capturing the Cosmos
Unravel our place in space and try to put the pieces together to unlock the mysteries of the universe as you explore the new astronomy being carried out under the breathtaking skies of the Australian outback.

Planetarium Show - A Little Trek to the Stars
Join in as we observe our beautiful night sky and learn about the majesty of the stars. Make your own constellations, use a telescope to collect starlight and see the Sun up close.

Hands-on Activities
🌱 Spiny Leaf Insects
These alien looking invertebrates remind us of how beautiful and weird life on Earth is. Learn about their life cycles, camouflage and what makes them unique! These activities will be roaming around the centre throughout the day. Can you spot them?!
🐛 Straw Caterpillar – Puppet Theatre
Want to learn how to make your own straw caterpillar? Join us at the puppet theatre for some old school arts and crafts where we turn a straw into your own caterpillar for you to take home.
🔬 Meet the Scientists
AI researchers, computer scientists and more! Throughout the School Holidays, we’ll have real life scientists talking about real life subjects.
Fun facts, curiosities and even maybe some insights only the people in the field will have. Join their talk, ask them questions and even get to say hello afterwards.

Want even more science fun?! These hands-on workshops take learning to the next level in the Scitech Lab. Designed for curious 5-8-year-olds and 8-13-year-olds, there’s something for everyone, from the weird science of poo to the wonderful worlds hidden inside our bodies.
Good to Know
Quiet Space: Our low sensory room will be available for a recharge, away from the excitement. This is located near the exit to the Discovery Shop.
Getting to Scitech: Parking is free for 2 hours via the machines in the undercover car park. Scitech visitors also have access to a $5 for 5 hours parking ticket, via the parking machines located inside the City West Centre and Scitech. If you’re catching public transport, we’re located across from the City West train station, one stop from Perth City on the Fremantle Line. Plus, SmartRider holders ride for free on Sundays.
