This collaboration between Scitech and the West Australian Symphony Orchestra is an exciting opportunity to get young audiences engaging with music and science.
We are excited to be partnering with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra for their 2023 Classic Adventures series, to bring science and music together at Perth Concert Hall.
This month, Scitech’s interactive exhibits will be part of the pre and post-concert entertainment for Nature’s Symphony, inviting children to explore the science of nature.
Our laminar flow table will show how seed dispersal for plants works while microscopes will allow children to view specimens up-close.
Children can also mix and match magnetic animals to their habitat, explore the Insect Arena to find the hidden insects and use the thermal camera to discover the differences in the thermal temperature of the human body compared to some of their favourite animals.
In October, the WASO concert Outer Space will see our Blast Off puppets, including Lucy the astronaut, Scruffy the space dog and a rocket, join the orchestra on stage. This visual element will complement the music and help to establish the themes of the show for young music lovers.
