To express interest in attending Challenge Day 2025, please complete the registration form below. Information on dates and pricing for 2025 will be released in October.
Scitech Challenge Days provide students with a fantastic opportunity to represent their school in a friendly competition where they develop and apply their 21st century skills to solve a real-world problem, engineering a design along the way!
Expertly designed by Scitech’s very own team of STEM educators, Challenge Day expands on the students’ existing knowledge of the world around them. Working collaboratively in teams of four, students use design thinking to work through a series of challenges, fostering creativity and critical thinking, while developing students’ sense of character and communication skills.
After teams conquer the final challenge of the day, they will present their designs to fellow participants and judges. Students will also gain an insight into Scitech’s design work from our exhibition team. Outstanding teams will then be presented with an award from Scitech’s exhibition design team.
$35 per student for metropolitan schools. $30 per student for regional schools.
Prices are GST free.
The challenge days are open to students in Years 5 and 6 only. Each school may register a total of two teams (eight students per school). You will be invoiced post event for your final numbers. Teachers and supervising adults are free of charge and fully catered for. Due to high demand, you will only receive email confirmation if you are successful. For any questions, please contact bookings@scitech.org.au Ph 9215 0740.
