Extend your students’ participation and enthusiasm in STEM, with our after-school STEM Club!
The Tinker and Create stream encourages design thinking through creative projects. From building simple machines to designing gliders and wearable technology there’s something for every student in this engaging and challenging program. Choose between Electrical Circuits, or Take to the Skies and Motion and Energy to elevate student learning capabilities in your classroom.
Electrifying Circuits (8 weeks)
Get to grips with the fundamentals of electricity and learn about e-Textiles by sewing your own light-up artwork with Lilypad components.
Take to the Skies (4 weeks)
See the four forces of flight in action by building things that soar. Students will design and construct rockets, planes and gliders from different materials.
Motion & Energy (4 weeks)
Learn how to turn energy into motion by engineering complex machines from everyday materials. Create projectile launchers, helicopters and cars powered by rubber bands.
Parents are encouraged to participate as much as possible and they are welcome to attend any session. Families are also invited to attend STEM Club following the completion of each project module, allowing students to share and celebrate their STEM accomplishments. The projects will be stored at the school while students are building them, with students taking their projects home at the end of each 4-week module.
