Discoverland

The joys of play and the wonders of science come together in Discoverland – an enclosed area for our smallest budding scientists.

Foster your child’s love of learning and kick-start a curiosity for science at Discoverland.

Using principles from the Australian Early Childhood Framework, Discoverland is designed or families with children aged 0–6, to foster collaboration. Ask your junior scientist questions, and encourage them to explore.

“Everybody starts out as a scientist. Every child has the scientist’s sense of wonder and awe.”

– Carl Sagan

Good to know:

  • There is pram parking inside Discoverland.
  • There is only one entry point so low chance of the young children wandering into other galleries.
  • We have a brochure stand providing a guide to Discoverland and list of books perfect for curious young children.
  • Twice a year (February and July) we run Toddlerfest, which is a centre-wide early childhood science festival. Join as a member as a way of visiting all year round and at Todderfests.
