You can choose between three 90-minute time slots:

• 9.50am – 11.20am (theatre show at 10:00am followed by time in party room)
• 11.50am – 1.20pm (time in party room followed by theatre show at 1:00pm)
• 2.20pm – 3.50pm (theatre show at 2:30pm followed by time in party room)
  *Scitech closes at 4:00pm. If you choose to enjoy exploring Scitech, you may wish to arrive earlier than your start time.

Both you and your party guests can arrive any time during opening hours (9.30am – 4.00pm) to enjoy Scitech before/after the booked party time.
Please tell your invited guests to arrive at Scitech at least 10 minutes before your party start time and present their invitation at the Front Desk. The staff will let them know where your Host will meet you and your guests.

Limited paid parking is available at City West. Scitech visitors have access to a $5 for 5 hours parking ticket via parking machines located inside City West Centre. Just remember to make a note of your licence plate number.

You can take your supplies into the private party room 10 minutes before your booked time. Scitech is unable to store your supplies prior to your party time.

You will have 40 minutes to spend in your private room either before or after your theatre show to have snacks and cake. All people and personal items must vacate the room by the end time specified by your booking confirmation.

You can have 15 to 25 invited children (including the birthday child) at your party. One free adult ticket is included with each invited child.
We are unable to accommodate more than 25 children in the private Birthday Party Room due to health and safety requirements and will not be compromised.

If the child is invited and would like to participate in the party, they will need to be paid for ($28.00). Siblings who are under 4 who are not participating in the party activities are free.

All additional children and adults must purchase a general entry ticket and can explore Scitech during the party. They are welcome to re-join the party guests after the party has concluded. Extra people are not permitted in the private birthday party room.

All birthday bookings require a $100.00 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. Final payment and confirmation must be finalised by phone or email before 12 pm on the Wednesday proceeding the party or your booking may be cancelled. Changes to attendance numbers cannot be made after this time.

Unfortunately, the take home science kits come in a variety of options, and we cannot guarantee which ones we will receive for your child’s birthday.

No. There is no fridge or food warming facilities available, and no electrical appliances can be used in Scitech.
We can store your birthday cake if requested.

Absolutely! You are welcome to supply snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic) for the invited children to be consumed during your 40-minute use of the Private Birthday Room.

Scitech provides tables and one stool, plate, cup and spoon for each invited child. You are welcome to bring extra crockery and napkins if required.
Please take any left-over food you wish to save. Your host will dispose of any food that is left behind and clean the private room after the party. We cannot provide cleaning services for customer’s personal crockery.

Our bright and inviting party room is already fabulous so you do not need to bring anything! If you do wish to personalise the tables (tablecloths/décor etc), keep in mind you only have access to the room for 10 minutes prior to your booking time, so less is more.

Helium balloons are permitted as décor, but must not be taken into Scitech galleries or theatre spaces, or given out to party guests. Candles are permitted for the cake (no sparklers).

A lift is available – it goes from the car park to the ground and first floor. The entrance to the Science Centre is on the first floor.

Prams are permitted throughout our Science Centre however they are not allowed in our theatres.

Pram parking is available near Discoverland.

All staff at Scitech who work directly with children have a current ‘Working with Children’ check as a condition of employment.
