Scitech Summer School Holidays Scavenger Hunt – Terms and Conditions
1. Participant’s Information
It is the responsibility of each Entrant to ensure that they provide the correct information to Scitech upon the submission of each entry. If an Entrant is unable to supply clear handwritten personal information, they may nominate a Scitech staff member to complete their entry form to ensure legibility.
2. Promoter
The promoter of this promotion is Scitech Discovery Centre (ABN [insert ABN]), located at City West Centre, Sutherland Street, West Perth WA 6005 (“Scitech”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
3. Eligibility
Entry is open to all visitors to Scitech during the promotion period who submit a valid scavenger hunt entry form in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (“Entrant”).
Employees of Scitech and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
Children under 18 years of age may participate with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Submission of an entry by or on behalf of a minor constitutes such consent.
4. Promotion Period
The promotion runs from 18 December 2025 to 01 February 2026 (inclusive) (“Promotion Period”).
Entries received outside this period will not be accepted. Prizes can be collected until the 08 February 2026 (inclusive).
5. How to Enter
During the Promotion Period, visitors may participate in the Scitech Summer Holiday Scavenger Hunt by collecting a scavenger hunt map on entry, completing the activity, and filling in their contact details .
To complete the entry process, Entrants must deposit their completed entry form in the designated collection box at Scitech before leaving the venue.
Each entry must include the Entrants’s full name, email address, and any other information requested. Incomplete or illegible entries may be deemed invalid.
6. Prize Draw and Notification
Daily prize draws will be conducted by Scitech staff at the Discovery Shop during the Promotion Period.
Winners will be selected at random from all valid entries received up to the time of the draw.
Each winner will be contacted via the email address provided on their entry form to arrange collection of their prize.
If a winner doesn’t respond within five (5) business days, Scitech may redraw or award the prize to another Entrant.
Prizes are to be collected in person at the Discovery Shop located in the Science Centre at Scitech – City West Centre Corner Railway Street &, Sutherland St, West Perth WA 6005 during the venue’s operating hours.
Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Scitech reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable for any reason.
Winners are ultimately responsible for claiming their prize, therefore Entrants are required to ensure that their email address is up to date and monitored in the event that they are selected to win a prize.
7. Photography and Media Consent
By entering this promotion, Entrants (and, if under 18, their parent or guardian) consent to Scitech photographing or filming them in connection with the promotion (including prize collection or related events).
Entrants grant Scitech a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and worldwide licence to use, reproduce, publish, and communicate those photographs, videos, or likenesses in any media (including social media, websites, publications, and promotional materials) for marketing, publicity, and promotional purposes related to Scitech’s activities.
Entrants acknowledge that Scitech is not required to provide any remuneration, compensation, or attribution for such use.
If Entrants do not wish to have their photograph taken or published, they must notify Scitech staff at the time of prize collection, and Scitech will respect this preference.
8. Privacy and Personal Information
Scitech collects personal information (such as name, email address, and contact details) solely for the purposes of administering this promotion, contacting winners, and (if opted in) sending marketing communications in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Scitech’s Privacy Policy.

Personal information will not be disclosed to any third party except as required to administer the promotion or as permitted by law.
Entrants may access or correct their personal information, or withdraw consent to marketing communications, by contacting Scitech at: marketing@scitech.org.au
9. Conditions of Entry
Entry into this promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Entrants must comply with all venue safety and participation rules while visiting Scitech.
Scitech reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant who tampers with the entry process, submits an entry that is misleading or inappropriate, or otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions.
Scitech’s decisions regarding the promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. Liability
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Scitech (including its officers, employees, and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, loss, or damage (including loss of opportunity) arising in any way out of:
- any technical failure or access issue;
- any theft, unauthorised access, or third-party interference;
- any entry or prize that is late, lost, altered, damaged, or misdirected; or
- any prize or participation in the promotion.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes, or modifies the statutory consumer guarantees provided under the Australian Consumer Law.
Entrants agree that they will use any prize they may receive reasonably, and in accordance with the relevant manufacturer’s applicable recommendations.
11. Permit and Compliance
This promotion is a game of chance. No skill is required to enter or win.
Under Western Australian law, a trade promotion lottery does not require a permit provided no entry fee is charged.
By participating, Entrants acknowledge that the promotion complies with applicable laws and regulations.
12.Donation of Unwanted Prizes
In the event that a prize winner no longer wishes to receive a prize, that prize winner may donate the prize to Scitech by expressly informing Scitech of this intention at any point in time, including prior to receiving the prize.
13. General
Scitech reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion if circumstances arise beyond its control.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Western Australian courts.
