Scitech is now available for venue hire during the Perth Fringe World Festival, which includes the popular Scitech Planetarium and Chevron Science Theatre!
The Scitech Discovery Centre is only a three-minute drive from the main Fringe World hub “The Pleasure Gardens” with free on-site parking available after 5pm for the festival, and is also easily accessible by train from the CBD.
Planetarium
For the first time, Scitech is opening up our planetarium as a venue hire during Fringe World!
The Scitech Planetarium is Australia’s largest planetarium with 140 comfortable seats, allowing you to take an immersive filmic journey as you relax and take in the 18m 180-degree mega dome. While usually at the Scitech Planetarium you are exploring the night sky and discovering the wonders of the universe through a live presentation, during Fringe World we are also excited to accept external producers into our planetarium to offer new kinds of films and presentations to be immersed in.
Chevron Science Theatre
While in the daytime the Chevron Science Theatre at Scitech is home to fire, explosions and liquid nitrogen, at night the theatre and the adjoining WA Science Zone foyer are the perfect location for inspiring, thought-provoking and entertaining performances and experiences.
Scitech’s Chevron Science Theatre and WA Science Zone foyer are now available to hire for your performance during 2025 Fringe World Festival!
