Take a quest across land, sea, and space to reveal the importance of maps and navigation in everyday life.
Explore your World invites students to undertake a quest across land, sea, and space to explore the role of mapping and navigation in everyday life. Students will find the seven ‘quest’ stations to solve puzzles and collect different parts of their own map, which can then be viewed and brought to life through augmented reality.

Lower Primary program: Year 1-3
Based in our feature exhibition, students embark on a quest across land and sea to Map Your World, working together to tackle compelling problems that put their mapping skills to the test. As they navigate through the exhibition, students will experience sonar scanning technology, navigate a giant game of battleship and pilot a simulated underwater vehicle as they learn to see the world from a new perspective.
Upper Primary program: Years 4-6
In this guided journey through our feature exhibition, students discover how mapping technology has deepened our understanding of the world around us. In this workshop, students will get to interact with some of the technological tools that have reshaped the way we explore our planet. As they work together to tackle real-world challenges, your students will get the chance to see the world through new eyes, as layers of information, and reflect on the ethical questions that come with using data to make decisions.
